Cinequipment Manufacture P+S Technik at the forefront of Digital Recording

Ottobrunn/Dubai. P+S Technik’s SI-2K Digital Cinema Camera System is the PRODUCT OF THE YEAR in the MIDDLE EAST, voted by Digital Studio Awards 2009. Carlos Alvarez from P+S Technik and Kaveh Farnam from Advanced Media Trading L.L.C, the official reseller of P+S Technik in the region, have been on site and took the credit for the SI-2K. The popular piece of image capture equipment even caught the attention of H. H. Sheikh Hashar bin Maktoum Al Maktoum himself, Director General of the Dubai Department of Information, who was looking for the camera just a few minutes after the opening of the CABSAT by himself. The 5th Annual Digital Studio Awards 2009 were presented at a lavish ceremony at Jumeirah Beach Hotel on Wednesday 4th March 2009, recognizing the leading companies and individuals from the region’s growing broadcast and production sectors. The PRODUCT OF THE YEAR award for the SI-2K Digital Cinema Camera system, co-developed by P+S Technik and Silicon Imaging, mirrors its prominence in the Middle East where it is widely in use. The Oscar-success of “Slumdog Millionaire” enhanced the good standing of the SI-2K, which is widely in use in the Middle East. Thus, P+S Technik is gradually making a name for itself in the region as a camera manufacturer that produces excellent equipment, bringing together the right ideas and straightforward technology.

Digital Studio is the most prevalent magazine for broadcast and production throughout the region and distributes its awards parallel to the CABSAT trade fair regularly.
