ZGC, Inc. located in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, U.S.A., presented a series of three day 3D Workshops conducted by Florian Maier of 3D Consult (www.3d-consult.eu) located in Munich. The attendees had individual hands-on time with the P+S Technik 3D Stereo Rig to set up a series of shots on their own.  Projecting the two camera images simultaneously on a silver screen allowed the camera operators the ability to view their scenes live and make necessary adjustments.  The final day of the workshop focused on post production and what editing systems currently handle the 3D workflow and display options. Mr. Maier performs similar workshops in his studio in Germany.rs.

From the 3rd to the 5th of March the CabSat took place in Dubai. The exhibition attracts professionals from all of Middle East. The following products were presented: PRO35, MINI35, the SKATER, SI-2K Camera as well as the OneBox. Parallel to the CabSat trade fair, the Digital Studio award was announced.

We are proud to let you know that SI-2K Digital Cinema Camera System was selected PRODUCT OF THE YEAR award by Digital Studio Awards 2009 held at Jumeirah Beach Hotel on Wednesday 4th March 2009. Carlos Alvarez from P+S Technik and Kaveh Farnam from Advanced Media Trading L.L.C, official reseller of P+S Technik, have been on site and took the credit for the SI-2K.

The PRODUCT OF THE YEAR award for the SI-2K Digital Cinema Camera system, co-developed by P+S Technik and Silicon Imaging, mirrors its prominence in the Middle East. The Oscar-success of “Slumdog Millionaire” enhanced the good standing of the SI-2K, which is widely in use in the Middle East.

The NAB 2009 takes place in Las Vegas from the 20th to the 23rd of April.

We will exhibit the 3D Stereo Rig, the WEISSCAM HS-2, the SteadyFrame Scanner and of course also other products like the SKATER and all kinds of P+S Technik images converters. On location will be Anna Piffl, Andreas Dasser, Aki Schirmer and Johannes Nguyen to support you as well as our colleagues from ZGC, official reseller for North and South America.

At the 13th and 14th of March the BSC New Equipment Show took place in Elstree Studios, London. P+S Technik was represented by Alfred Piffl, CEO and Carlos Alvarez as well as our local reseller Patric Ralston of FAVA Rental. A special highlight on the booth was the SI-2K camera which was used for Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire as well as lately for the production of Sherlock Holmes (Dir. Guy Ritchie). Other products of high interest were the PRO35 for the Sony EX3 camcorder and the WEISSCAM HS-2 digital highspeed camera. According to long-term visitors and exhibitors the exhibition had a better performance than the last years.

The product range of P+S Technik Optical Products has been expanded. We offer our first set of 16mm prime lenses equipped with an IMS lens mount, the 16Digital Lens Set. The lenses are especially designed for 2/3” sensors and suitable for SI-2K or Ikonoskop DII, both cameras are delivered with the P+S Technik IMS camera mount.

The set includes 8mm/T1.9, a 12mm/T1.9, a 16mm, a 25mm and a 35mm lens, all three T1.7, as well as a 50mm/T1.9 lens. An additional wider lens will be developed on the market requests.

The front diameter of the lenses is 60 mm and the diameter of the gear ring will be 65,6 mm. The length will be approx. 75 mm.

The 35Digital Lens Set is completed by new lens member as well. The 18mm/T3.5 is available since beginning of the year.

At March 26th and April 2nd, the post-production company Greenpost will arrange two workshop days supported by P+S Technik in their Munich office. The SI-2K with the corresponding workflow will be presented as well as the P+S Technik 3D Stereo Rig.

Focus will be on the documentary movie „The Eagle Hunter’s Son” which was shot with the SI-2K and screened at this year’s Berlinale Film Festival.
