| The PRO35 product range has further expanded with a
PRO35 version for 1/2“ digital video cameras. The PRO35 1/2“
contains especially designed lenses to fully project the image from
the 35mm lens onto the 1/2“ CCD or CMOS sensor. In general, the PRO35 1/2“
works with the same technical principle as the converter for 2/3“ cameras.
The design is similar and all accessories work with the 2/3“ version
as well as with the PRO35 1/2“. |

Since 2002 P+S Technik offer the PRO35 Image Converter,
bigger brother of the MINI35, and over the past years the device
became a well-known and regularly use tool for DoPs and professional
videographers. The spread of High Definition Television (HDTV) and
so of a high resolution video standard turns digital film production
for the big screen into a more and more widely accepted workflow.
With the PRO35 you can work with the lenses, accessories and the
depth of focus you know from cine film productions. |

What the Converter Can Do for You |
|
| |
Shooting on video was long time said to be aesthetically restricted
and to produce a rather flat image compared to a 35mm film image.
The PRO35 Image Converter makes 35mm motion picture lenses available
for videographers and digital filmmakers. Now shifting focus between
details and by doing this taking the viewer through an image became
a full range feature for video images.
With this convergent device, a 1/2” video camera can capture
the same depth-of-field, focal length and angle-of-view as 35mm
film. No longer restricted by a limited number of video lens options,
a video camera operator can now get creative with hundreds of lens
choices up to now the exclusive realm of 35mm filmmakers.
Cinematographers:
When a conservative production
budget precludes shooting in 35 mm, you get
impressive film-quality images with a video camera, a
P+S TECHNIK Image Converter and your favourite 35
mm film lenses.
For productions shot in 35 mm film, shoot pre-production
trial footage with the MINI35 Image Converter and get
a true 35 mm image without having to use an expensive
film camera. Get immediate results on a monitor without
the postproduction costs associated with film.
Video Filmmakers:
For the first time you can enhance
your creativity by controlling depth-of-field with your
digital video camera. Reproduce the three-dimensional
quality of 35 mm film on a digital video storage and
produce better images for TV spots, documentaries,
features, Internet applications and presentations. |

 |
How it works |
| |
The PRO35 projects the 16 x 22mm (academy
format) image produced by a 35mm lens onto an especially designed,
eccentrically moving ground glass. This image is
then relayed onto the 1/2 ” sensor of the electronic camera
on a reduced scale while maintaining 35mm depth-of-focus
and angle-of-view. Contrast is improved and colors have a
more natural appearance. |
