The PS-Freestyle Rig is especially designed to offer a maximum of creative choice for camera movement in 3D production. By using patented Carbon technology originally used for Formula 1 race cars, the best combination of load capacity, stability, form and weight was achieved.
The Evolution Upgrade for the PS-Freestyle Rig is designed for heavy camera setups and ensures a quick setup and calibration process as well as stable alignments for broadcast and digital film applications. A range of ergonomic mounting accessories prepare the Freestyle Rig for steadycam, shoulder, crane, dolly and tripod use. That's why it is the most versatile 3D Rig on the market.

User Quotes
“The introduction of the PS-Freestyle Rig’s Evolution Upgrade means that P+S TECHNIK remains at the forefront of lightweight rig design and sales and I look forward to using this rig on future productions.”
Phil Streather, Founder and CEO of Principal Large Format (PLF)
“The combination of the Sony HDC-P1 cameras, HDFA-200 fibre adaptor, MPE-200 3D processor and the PS-Freestlyle Rig are an ideal solution for broadcasters wanting a compact 3D camera set-up. By simple integration of the cameras, fibre adaptor and rig itself it is just a single fibre connection back to the control room from where the operator has full control over both the rig and cameras making it not only very compact but also very easy and quick to install, in fact ideal for OB usage.”
Andy Hotten, Product Specialist Group leader - Live Production, Sony Professional Solutions Europe
„In our 3D productions I rely on the equipment, the innovation and the constant development of products at P+S TECHNIK in Ottobrunn. The Standard Rig as well as the PS-Freestyle Rig are important foundations for our setups.“
Alaric Hamacher, Stereographer, Viriual Experience, Munich
Details
Designed for constant equilibration on steadycam systems, the PS-Freestyle Rig always keeps camera weights in perfect balance when wireless adjusting the interaxial. Integrated motors for interaxial and convergence adjustment optimize weight and are compatible with all common wireless remote control systems. A wide range of professional lenses and cameras up to a 9 kg per camera setup can be carried by the PS-Freestyle Rig. A range of ergonomic mounting accessories prepare this rig also for shoulder, crane, tripod and dolly use.

That’s how it works:
The Motors (convergence and interaxial) of the PS-Freestyle Rigs are
connected to a Cmotion Camin.
The HDFA-200 multiplexer box is compactly built under the PS-Freestyle Rig. The
whole setup is totally balanced and can go on a regular (250) tripod.
The Camin of the PS-Freestyle Rig , 2x synchronized broadcast zoom-lenses, video
signals, genlock, return and power are connected to the Sony HDFA-200.
Only one hybrid-fiber cable goes from rig to OB-Van/vision control. No power cable or
wireless connection necessary.
In the OB-Van/control room everything can be controlled through the CCU and MPE-200.
The stereoscopic rig-parameters as well as the initial calibration can be handled with the
MPE-200.
The compact 3D broadcast live control integration works perfectly with the PS-Freestyle Rig, but
also with the
PS-Standard Rig when using a Cmotion camin and compatible motors.
